Okay this might be a dumb question but here goes. I have a stock cam with 1.5 rockers. I was wondering if you could switch to a 1.6 ration rocker and get more performance out of the stock cam?

 

You might get 5-10hp from it. It is kind of pointless just to switch to the 1.6rr without changing the cam though. Too much work for pretty much nothing. Just my opinion.

 

Yes you can switch to the 1.6 rockers. You should also put new valve springs in also when you do this. Maybe even lifters depending on how many miles you have on your car. you will probably gain somewhere from around 6 to 10 rwhp with them. But since your gonna wanna do it when you get a cam you can go ahead and do it now so you won't have to do it later.
