1/4 time question?
Re: 1/4 time question?
By multiplying my 1/8th mile time of 8.76 by 1.55 which is supposed to be your approx 1/4 mile time, I came to 13.55. I dont think thats too bad considering I have 2.73 gears still and have done nothing to the tuning, heck i dont even have an lt4km.

I'm running on some Kumho's. They are okay tires, but nothing to call home about when it comes to traction. I hope to run it again once I get some DRs and Torque Arm.

That link will give you a little bit more insight on how to launch better.........and no do not manually shift.....definately let the tranny do the shifting for ya.

.
Don't Look Back - It was a cool night on wednesday that I pulled my 14.2s, not sure what the humidity was though.

Re: 1/4 time question?
Get new wires and plugs when you add your headers. Make sure the car is all tuned up well. I was running 13.6 w/ 2.0 60ft with Intake, exhaust, & headers on street tires. Also make sure you do not have a lot of gas in the car. Gas = about 7-8 lbs/gallon; 10lbs = about -.1secs in the 1/4.

10 = -0.01
For what it's worth, the best 60' I could pull on street tires was 1.966. That was with a 2400 stall and stock 16" tires. Without the stall, the best 60' my car has done was 1.999.
This is a 3.23 geared automatic and those times were when it was almost stock.
