1/4 with slicks & stock rear???
1/4 with slicks & stock rear???
i am getting some street et's from a friend this week for $50. i want to know what times should i expect, and can my rear-end handle those slicks?? how many launches before i blow my rear??
i feather the throttle off the line then go WOT, i have got pretty decent 60's like this but my bfg's cant handle WOT launches.
what technique should i use with the slicks? recommended tire pressure, and burnout tech also? thanks in advance for any advice!!

Launch technique with slicks?
No feathering.
No babying.
Just mash and go. Trust they will hook.
Slicks like heat, so a good 4 or 5 second burnout in 2nd gear should more than suffice. Just don't be afraid to mash the pedal. If you say that you're afraid to blow your rear, then you're cheating yourself out of the reason you got slicks in the first place, to get better times. Just pray it holds.

Like Ram air said just mash it You can probally get by with 18-20 psi in the tires but if you have traction problems you can take them down as little as 10 psi but it can get a little hairy at the topend. I run 13 psi in mine spray a 150 shot out of the hole and if the track is preped it hooks..1.63 60ft times on my 10 bolt.
ok i got the take off like a bat out a hell part, but what should i expect. my current best 60' is a 2.079 and best et is in my sig. well i know my rear can handle it cuz when i changed the diff. oil i was told if it was brand new cuz it looked so clean. what psi shold go into those slicks??
