1/4 mile times inside
1/4 mile times inside
Well this track sucked to say the least...
On top of that, my N20 setup isn't working since I have a bum window switch.
Very poorly run track and only got 3 runs in 4 hours....wasn't even busy, they just weren't organized.
Anyways, enough with the crying...
I ran a best of 13.99 NA @ 99.78 mph...seems way off...
That was with a 2.1 60 foot....stock suspension.
Everyone was having a hard time getting out of the hole...even the big dog single digit club members...
Overall, I was dissapointed, but I haven't run at a track in 3 years and my first run was a 14.7 meatspinning down the track, next was a 14.333 and I beat a 94 'Vet by .260 seconds and 6 mph. I don't think one person left tonight happy.
Second run was a 14.33, and the next was a 13.9. I was getting more consistent and shifting higher. It seems hard to read the stock tach, so I might be looking into a 3" one or something. I dunno, anyways, I had a blast, but was dissapointed.
Upper 70's with a humidity of 69% and it's in the Ozark Mountains.
Anyways, mods are in the signature, but these were N/A times, and I will be going back to get better.
Let me know what you think though!!

Re: 1/4 mile times inside
Not too bad, I am assuming you were running on hard street tires? Also, your signature says you have a mail-order nitrous tune... Do you have a few degrees of timing pulled out of your PCM for when you spray? If so, that is hurting your N/A power and numbers a little bit as well.
Re: 1/4 mile times inside
Street tires or DR's? What gears? Going from 2:73 to 3:42 with DR's dropped me from 14.2s to 13.7s. Headers, cat back and a tune got me to 13.3s. This is at Englishtown, NJ, though, so there might be an altitude difference also.
Re: 1/4 mile times inside
HARD street tires, they have been heat cycled a few times.
I didn't even think of the timing being pulled, I was more concerned with the header tune, etc. Good call on that one GTP.
I had Falken Ziexs 275/40/17's at the indicators.... with 3.42's since it is a 94 M6.
EDIT: Nitrous tune has 4 degrees pulled, and the spark advance has been killed.

Re: 1/4 mile times inside
Street tires on 3:42's = lot's of hollywood spin but not good for the track.
Been there... someone felt sorry enough for me to sell me rims with some DR's that had a few days tread left on them. Big BIG difference.
Your 60' needs to be lower. 2.09 will get a 100. 2.00 will get a 103.
...all dependent on track prep.

Re: 1/4 mile times inside
Yeah, my 60's were way off...as was the gripe in all staging lanes even the rail cars were whining.
I hope to get the N20 working and go back.

Re: 1/4 mile times inside
Screw them find a new track with good prep. The time and money you have into your set up, you at least deserve to run her on a track with decent prep to see what she is really capable of.
Good luck
