1/4 mile times with 3.73's

my times are in my sig. my best WITH headers was on a REALLYhumid day, so i think i can get at least a 13.7X. so what would 3.73's do for me?? get me in the 13.5X's or even lower?? i have to install the gears this next week. bout a set of richmond 3.73's. i was told they whine a little but thats just because they changed the pitch of the teeth on the gears to make them stronger. but if they whine a little, so what?? so long as it dont hurt nothin thanx for all the help!!!!

I ran a 13.3 with headers and bolt-ons all the way up here in Utah. (stock LS1's usually run mid to low 14's)

Huh? Is that .5 mph or 5 mph?

Was the weather any different? Higher temp or humidity? Pressure? There are so many different factors that come into play. I woudn't worry about it too much, just try again another night.

I am definitely no expert, and as opinions go everyone has one, but heres mine. You need a cai if you dont have one(will go good with off road pipe). So you have slp headers,no cat, what kind of muffler/catback to let the exhaust out?.Another question is why just a 2000 stall, with a BUILT 700r4? You should have at least a 2800 in there. Tranny cooler, poly tranny mount or 1le. Also Nittos or drag radials will hook you up on launch. Think of suspension mods too, lcas really help.I got a screwed up tranny for a little longer till my built one goes in.I have a 93z,3.23 gears,2800 stall,Nittos, lcas. Mine launches like a ****, burns them for about 40 feet then hooks and goes straight as hell. Seems like your times should be a little better with what you have. Just trying to help, good luck Pickerman For sure cant run street tires with this converter(2.5 str,Midwest)

I think nitto's will deffinitly give you 2/10ths or so. IMO that will get your 60' down to the 1.8 range.
