1" or 3/4" Stage 8's?

I'm installing the MAC Mids and want to know what the recommendations are for bolt length?

Thanks...

If your header flange is fairly thin, 3/4" would be fine. If it's pretty thick, 1" would be better.

To be completely honest, there is no need whatsoever to get the Stage 8's with the MAC's. I used the 1" bolts that came with the MAC's. They are very nice bolts and haven't backed out. Just retighten them after the engine cools. Do this a couple of times. It literally takes 5 minutes to retorque them. Mine are staying snug now.

I am able to access every bolt with a 7/16" closed end wrench. I did grind the outside lip of the closed end wrench though so that I can get it on the bolt even when the primary is really close to the bolt. I can get it on every bolt now. Works great.

You might as well go with 1" bolts. It won't hurt anything.

If you don't mind, I would like to recommend these as a much more superior alternative: www.go-breslin.com

Wow, those look pretty cool. I'll have to keep those in mind when I do headers on my Suby.

I used STG8 on the T/A, and actually wasnt very impressed with them at all. I never did get the locks on right, grinding them is a PITA imo.

I'm going 1" on my Jet-Hot's.

Stage 8's, but Breslin's look cool too.

Anyone actually running them?

I see a LOT of "I'm gonna get Breslin's"...

I have them and will be running them in about 3 weeks once the motor goes back in. They are pretty cool, I keep playing with them waiting to put them in

I've been using them for about a year now. I'm pretty sure I was the 1'st member on this board to post about them last year.
