Camaro94Lover i assume you are talking about a open element type. Otherwise they already have a vent hole. I am sure where they placed the vent hole has something to do with sound control.

The breather I have installed is a half filter/half sheild type. I know all about the PCV operation after reading the posts about it and how the breather introduces a small vacuum leak, but I am also getting the engine prepped to be supercharged. It has to have a breather or PCV modificatio (even in kit instructions) otherwise the engine gets positve pressure and thats not a good thing. The covers I got were from racenet.net and are chrome and a little taller than stock so that worked great with my rockers. To see what I am talking about, here is the link: Racenet

Items WYS-9702 (covers) and WYS-9516 (breather). The passenger side cover has the hole for the breather and also for the tube that runs from the front of the cover to the TB, which allows for it to push in air to be pulled in by the PCV system, which remains the same on the drivers side.

Hollow alumimum covers were a point earlier. The LT4's have plenty of room for RR's including the 1.6 Comps i am using. Cool on the SC I am a big fan of more horsepower. Actually from a pure engineering standpoint alumimum absorbs quite a bit of noise as well.

Yeah it does alright. Between the chrome covers, breather, and LT4 intake it looks pretty good. Packed in there and cluttered as hell from all the engine components but still good.
