I just brought my engine back from the machine shop and was taking a look at the cam card and such. On the card it says that the part number is 08-503-08, which is the grind made for GEN I SB Chevy's. Is there a real difference between the 08-503-08 & 07-503-08 (meant for LT1)? The shop that did my engine has a very good rep, I just wanted to make sure the cam was correct before I go reinstalling the engine.

The 08 core doesn't have the hole in it for the newer large opti, that's the big difference.

If the opti is the only issue I'm fine with it. I was concerned about fitment and function. Thanks
