my 95 z28 is having some slight problems.......studder at constant crusing speed at low rpm........it intermitently ses light comes on. then it will shut off, my fans will go off, and any of you have any ideas??????leak at the exhaust manifold or something? possibly a leak??

 

Did you have it scanned? What codes?

 

code 44 o2 sensor lean........?

 

That's the drivers side sensor. Something is affecting only that side of the engine. Exhaust leak before the sensor and misfires are the most common causes. Could also be an intermittent short to ground in the sensor signal wiring, or a faulty sensor.

Switch the sensors side to side. If the problem moves with the sensor, its a fualty sensor. If the problem stays on the drivers side, its one of the other causes listed above.

 

intermittent ground huh?? well its odd cuz like when its at nite time and i have my lights running and radio on, all my lights will dim right before the sevice engine soon light comes on, and while its on, my bat. light will slowly drop to below 8 then back up to 12 when it shuts offf........sooo is that showing me its ground effected???? what will i have to do to check this??
