'01 GT Vert vs '95 LT1 results
First off, my car is a '95 Trans-Am with 3:73 gears, a computer, and a flowmaster exaust w/ hollowed cat.
My buddy just bought an '01 GT Vert which is completely stock.
We race from a dead stop and he got a huge jump on me because of my traction issues. When we raced from 60MPH, we were neck and neck at first, and then I slowly pull to about 4 car lengths at around 120.
I think I should be doing a lil bit better considering my mods. I supposedly have 275HP stock, whereas he has 260. Do you guys think a tune-up would help? Is there anything else I can easily replace that'll help out this aging engine? I'm the second owner. The previous owner was a middle-aged woman who had it for 57,000 miles. I've got it at 67,000 right now.
Thanks,
DiamondWraith

If its never had a tune up before I would install plugs and some good wires. I like the Accel extreme 9000 series wires and I run NGK TR55's for plugs. You might want to change the fuel filter also.
