secondairy air injection keeps triggering the check engine light .. Can I just remove the air pump??? and what will it affect???

 

You can take it off, but you're going to need the plugs for the manifold. You will also get a check engine light for the AIR system unless you get it tuned out. The light won't hurt anything, but you won't know if anything else goes wrong. Here's a link on removing the pump and stuff:

thanks!!! you guys replied pretty fast!!! im knew to this site but have been playing with lt1 s for some time. but here in NJ the smog stuff was always hands off!
