@#$ Darn these cars

Ive been working the last 4 days trying to get 2 plugs in, no luck, the back two plugs with slp headers are impossible to put in, so now after 4 days of fighting i give up, i cant even get my y pipe off cuz the sob has rusted to bad, so now i will pay to have the plugs to be put in, and after that im taking the car to the auction thursday night to get rid of my headache and go buy a mustang

lol- I wouldn't blame the car on some rusty y-pipe or you not having enough tools.

shortie headers suck with plug access. When I had edelbrock shorties, it was alot easier to remove the headers and change my plugs. I fought the plugs for hours before I took the extra 30 minutes and removed the headers.

"@#$ D$nm these F#%^% cars" - you can say that again. But it's not a reason to wimp out and auction your car off.

I have the SLPs and got all but #6 from the top and had to yank the Y pipe to get that one out. I always neverseeze the Y pipe bolts and they come off when I need them to. If they were stuck, I would use PB Blaster, Liquid wrench, or 3-in-1 overnite, then give it another shot. Anyone can go buy a new Mustang, so what's so special about that? It'll just get lost in the parking lot.

Go ahead.

You'll loose every race your ever in against a F-Body

And you'll look like every other car on the raod, cause there is 2234562358903 million mustangs out there.

And you'll look like a girl cause 50% of the mustangs on the road are driven by girls. Girls dig mustangs cause they are GIRLY.

Have fun with your Ford.

Re: @#$ D$nm these F#%^% cars

hahaha This is funny. my friend who is an Audi tech, and has a Mustang helped me pull the heads off my car this weekend. While we did it, we complained about how they are such a pain to work on, but even he admitted that you can't beat the power the F-body's make. Don't go and sell off the car, Mustangs are a dime a dozen. In my area you are LUCKY to find a nice F-Body.

I can change the plugs in my car in 20 minutes. MACs have very good plug access.

If you think our cars are hard to work on, you haven't touched a modular yet

I wouldn't blame you for selling your car. I have been so close to selling mine many times before. They are such a ***** to work on, then when one thing breaks something else does. I've been so pissed off before that all I wanted to do was sell the Camaro and buy something new, slow, and with a warranty.

Look Mickey, just do like I said, spray the bolts down, go get your beer goggles on, and it'll all look better tomorrow.

I have got SLPs on my car also.I just unbolted the starter and slid it back on the k-member.You then have enough room to slide your hand up there and get 6# and 8#.No need to to remove the y-pipe.

See, this is why Im taking the drivetrain of a 4th gen and putting it in a 3rd gen... best of both worlds!
