*O2 Sensor Install*

So I just recieved new O2 sensors I ordered, and was just wondering if anyone had a walkthrough install they'd like to share. I could just buy a Haynes repair manual, but I know a lot of people on here really know what they're doing. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

They are very easy to install as far as knowing how to do it, good luck getting the old O2's out though lol, spray them with some pb blaster a few times beforehand. A rough walk through is this.

Locate O2 you plan to change, it will be sticking out of the manifold/exhaust pipe can't miss it.

Disconnect the power from it (its a plastic clip/harness, can be annoying)

Put new one in, reconnect power clip. If you have more than two I do not know considering mine has only two, and I do not know the year of your car.

If they are original, you might want to pick up an O2 sensor socket.

Generally if the O2's are faulty, you will get a SES light... do you have any codes? If you DO have codes, skip the guess work and find someone to scan it.

The old ones will come out easier if the exhaust is hot. Just wear an asbestos shirt.....

When installing the new ones, do not contaminate them with any fluids, and avoid using anti-sieze compound. They should already be coated with conductive anti-sieze.

I would agree.... provide more info on the problem. Not all A/F ratio problems are caused by the O2 sensors. And not all O2 sensor codes are due to the sensors themselves.

Also you could use a propane torch.

It's easy to remove 'em as long as they aren't rusted in there. Spray pb blaster before hand, get a o2 sensor socket and maybe a swivel extension. Heat 'em up if you aren't having any luck.

PB blaster and a 7/8" box end wrench (cut the wires if sensors are bad) tap the wrench with a hammer to break loose.
