The %$#@ing car won't start
This post is short cuz all the details are on the web site. After 8 months of rebuilding, the car was finally ready to rock 'n' roll at the beginning of February. Except it won't start. I've tried everything I can think of.
Before asking any questions, please read over the description of all the stuff I've tried here:
http://para.noid.org/~lj/ click on "It won't start" at the bottom of the nav frame.
TIA for any suggestions!

I had Blackstone rig up a #1 TDC pointer while the engine was apart, and the SuperDamper is fully degreed, so I was able to confirm with my timing light a few minutes ago that all 8 plugs are firing when they are supposed to with no scatter. I also confirmed the cranking spark advance to be about 14*, versus the 13* reported by the PCM. Pretty close.
My last guess is that the coil tower may be shorting out to one of the low voltage coil leads after the motor tries to fire, so I reouted the low voltage wires. I'll give it another go after this bowl of chili. If it doesn't start I'm gonna push it off a cliff like in "Harold & Maud".

After-chili update: I re-installed the fuel injector and fuel pump fuses and twisted the key. Same ol' same ol'. Just endless, useless cranking.
The PCM is firing the plugs and the injectors, and allowing the engine to crank, so I don't think there are any bad or missing connections, or anything else the PCM could be unhappy about. I'm running stock injectors, stock fuel pressure, and the injector constant is set to 24 lb/hr.
I updated the "It won't start" page with the latest info. See sig for link to main para.noid page, then click on "It won't start".

Your are obviously missing or assuming something is there when it's not. If you have fuel, compression and spark it will light.
If compression is good then fuel could be too much. If both of those are ok then spark could be occuring at the wrong time.
Why don't you do some old fashioned testing. When you checked the plugs were they wet or dry? If they were dry, take a squirt bottle and shoot fuel directly in the TB and then crank it.
If it doesn't light up then, your spark timing must be off.

I had the same problem late last year and it turned out to be fowled plugs with too much gas getting into thecylinders. Try putting a stok program in it and installing new stock plugs. Maybe try a ,050 gap on them. Are you sure the spark the coil is putting out is strong enough? I think it might be the plugs since everything else is fine.
Good Luck and let us know what you find out!

Finally got it started for real this morning. Man, what a HUGE relief! I wrote up what I did on the "It won't start" page of para.noid (link in sig). Thanks for all the suggestions!
