$546.96 gone......A couple Q's to help me out.

I just got through ordering

Mac Headers & y-pipe
2 O2 extensions
Ngk TR55 Plugs
Lousmouth S-Pipe
Total=546.96 shipped to my door

It will then have a cat or orp to my existing hooker catback(still undecided)

If you all can't tell I am doing the single cat conversion and are hoping to pick up a good amount of pony's from it. All in all I think I am going to be really happy with this setup.

I do have a couple of questions though. What type of RTV do I need to use on the header gaskets??? I have some I got from wal-mart that I used for the waterpump Ultra High Temp RTV in the red bottle. Any thought and sugestions are more than welcome.

you don't need to put anything on the header gasket.

RTV is not needed for header gaskets.

You won't need any RTV as long as you get the header and the gasket mated up correctly. Also, give yourself a couple days for the project. And have fun getting the driver side manifold off the car.

I was thinking I can get it done on a weekend with a couple of people that are going to help me that have previously done several header installs.

I took thursday and friday off from work and I got done on sunday with my install
But I was alone though.
You can do it in a weekend with help, just take it easy. AND DON'T GET DISCOURAGED. I can't begin to tell you how many times I wanted to set my car on fire or push it off a cliff.
Love it now though

It is. But getting the driver's side slip tube to mate up with the header correctly can be a bit of a pain. The only thnig that you should have to remove is the oil filter.

The passenger side will take more time. There's starterm dipstick and the space to work in is tight.

You should be able to do it all in 2 days no problem. 1 day to take it all apart, the second to reassemble.

I think im going with pacesetter LTs, after removing the A/C I think the passenger side will be much easier seeing how much room there is w/o the lines or A/C Comp, only got that dipstick that everyone else seems to dispise

I installed my MACs in one day, 3 people...started probably around 11:30am, was done 9:30pm..... so it didnt take that long... but i did have my car lifted up about 5 feet and had every tool known to man available. it was a bitch, but the hard part is getting the old manifolds off. Once they are off, its all downhill from there. Little things that you run into take the most time. I didnt even have to remove all my spark plugs.... only a few of them.

oh! order the taylor OVC wire kit...spend another $90 or so...it will save you burnt wires down the road.
