Great times! I can only hope mine would be that good when I go down to the track in a few weeks.
Keep up the good work!

Great job!
You will have a hard time convincing that LOSER LT1ponykiller that you ran those times because LT1's are slow.

Congrats!

I guess I could sell a local f-bod bud my stroker for $300 and he could run 11's for $300...and then post that for $300 he runs 11's....

I guess I am a *****....I like to get my best times in real street trim....tires I drive to the track on...no belt removal....etc...

But none the less, not bad at all.

Well..aside from putting the belt back on (I will relocate alternator and get electric water pump) the only thing I add to my "street" trim is the passenger seat. The backs have been gone for a long time. I've never looked at a Camaro/Firebird/TA as a multi passenger car, and can't stand knees in my back...so I eliminated the possibility.

But, yea, sell someone a stroker kit for $300 and they could say they run their times for $300. It's not what its worth...it's what you spend. Me...why spend more and go as slow as the other guys? Especially when I can spend less and go faster!

Did I mention that I got a CC305 with new valvesprings locks retainers in the garage that only cost me $250...

What are you talking about $hithead? LT1derful is one of my good friends. I am happy for him and his new times. He called me on the way back from the track and was all excited about his times. When you go from running 8.7's to 8.3's in the 1/8 without spending any money. I would be happy too.

As for saying LT1's are slow. Ive never said that. On another thread we were talking about bolt on LT1's vs. stock LS1's. For the most part, the LS1's will win.

Dont wanna get this stuff started on Dj's post. Congrats man is all I have to say!!!!!!!!

Yea...me and the Killa are good buds.

LS1s SHOULD be faster when equally modded...but as seen at the shootout, they aren't that much faster...and at times some were slower. I ran my LS1 bud in his headers, lid, TrqCnvrtr, shift kit, ET street car and was only .03 behind him...and 2mph slower.

So, LT1s can hang right there with em. Thanks Gary! Get better and we'll go shoot some pool!!

Yep that was my LS1, hes reffering to there (and you forgot my little LS6 cam in that mod list for me DJ). I got alot more money in my ride than he does (now my TA is a rolling brick) I shoulda bought an LT1

Did lt1derful mention his car has 160k miles on it

Woo hoo! Tha chikster! Man...I had the most fun that day racing you. I like those that are just neck and neck...and can't get much more neck-n-neck than .03 in the 1/4!!!

Gotta start trouble shooting those 60's on yours...cause with that MPH you should be 12.8 or better. Kind of weird that the ET streets are giving you the same 60's as street tires?!

Can't wait til the next SCFYB trip to Dtown!

good job

used long tubes and catback (both coated) cost me $700 used, shipped and mint

13.2@106 with that and gears.
I can only imagine what would happen if i gad I had a CAI anda stall instead of gears and installation

but i just got the gears since the rest of the rear was shot

Sweet man! I'm really in the mindset now of seeing what this car can do without any real motor upgrades. If I can break upper mid 7s I'll be STOKED! My buddy Russ was the GMHTP bolt-on LT1 winner and he's helping me out. He had to leave the bolt-on arena when a mislabled jet blew "da motor"...so I think he's vicariously trying to build another fastest bolt-on car thru mine, lol...fine by me!

Well I dont really feel to bad about it as cars there I know run consistent low 12's were running high mid 12's. That weather was costing most of the LS1 cars there about 3-4 tenths.

So maybe your car has more on a good weather day. Nobody is going to run a best time in hot humid 90+ degree weather. So the 12.98 coulda been a slow run
