I am not quite sure what to do with the 4k yet. It will be N/A HP I have decided. I just dont know for sure what I want to do yet. I have a few options and need to look into them deeper. I need to decide for sure if I want to keep this car. It has 121k on it, and I was actually going to just get a low mileage LS1 car. I could probably spend around 14k depending on what I can get for my car.

Thanks for all the input guys!

Lloyd Elliott Heads - $1000
A camshaft with 1.6 roller rockers, springs, retainers etc.. - $600 (I would call up one of the supporting vendors here for the cam selection after you get the flow numbers from Lloyd so you can get a cam to match your heads. Try www.combinationmotorsports.com or www.thunderracing.com)
Long-tube Headers w/Y-pipe - $750
3" exhaust (Hooker cat-back or Magnaflow catback) - $300
Lower Control Arms - $125
Subframe-Connectors - $200
Mail Order Tune - $150
30# injectors - $200

And whatever is left will probably go to installation costs. If you don't have a cold-air intake, substitute that for the subframe connectors. Good luck.

Get a new engine with everything done right for around 4-5k, and then add supercharger, nitrous... You can always sell your running LT1 for $1000. Most people learn this in hard way (like me), my .02

well if you had all the bolts ons, and were ready to move on...

4k could buy you a new 383 stroker forged shortblock, brand new flowin 272 at .600 p/p heads and a built stage 4 tranny rated at 700max hp...

dont believe me? i can prove it

Like everyone is saying, go with heads/cam/intake. Then focus on suspension/chassis. I cannot stress this enough. Too many people pour money into their motors and add power adders, but tons of power is being lost to chassis flex, lost traction, etc etc. All this can be avoided with strut tower brace, SFC's, torque arm, springs, shocks, anti-roll bar, etc etc.

Whatever you choose, good luck

Got to go with Pasky on this one. Look at this.

And it still leaves room for lots more stuff including your exhaust and more. And it's simple for someone with little experience and it's proven reliable. There may even be another source for this kit at a lower price but I like Summit.
