that is what i have saved for my motor. i have nitrous and gears and i am wondering what i should do. i want a 383 and i would like to spray a 150 shot. i would be happy with 400 or so whp all motor. i just wanted to see what u guys thought i should do. thanks

For the amount you have saved, it will either cover the bottom end or the top end of the motor. A complete 383 pushing 400 at the wheels is going to cost more then 3500 bucks though.

well i am going to go with a 383 eagle kit i think it is 1900 and my block only has 40000 miles on it so i will just have the block machined for the crank and i will get some heads for 1500 and i will have all my money spent so we will see when i get it done in the next few months

You don't need a 383 to get 400 to the rears. Just optimize a good head cam package, get it tuned, and do all of the bolt ons. I am lookin to hit around 430 here this summer after I go with a bigger cam and port my intake manifold. 383 just gives you more torque basically

when everyone say get it tuned does everyone have stand alones or piggy backs because i dont know what everyone is tuneing

i still want a 383, my dad has a split window with a 383 but he is alot lighter than me so my goal is to beat him all motor.

A dyno tune or a mail-order tune are two ways to go.
