$200 for RR's and Lifters, is this good deal?

This guy is offering me Harlan Sharp's RR's with springs (not sure if that is the name but is close to it), and Crane Lifters for $200 dollars is this a good deal? He had a 95 lt1 but it got stolen so they have been siting for the last 3 years since he never got to install them, the lifters are brand new im not sure about the 1.6 RR's tho, but cudnt be to many miles.

I heard that the roller rockers have to be a narrow body set for lt1's. So not sure they will work. And i never found a set of Harland shape RR's made for the lt1 yet.

Nothing noticeable. You'll have to install a aftermarket cam to feel the difference.

I think i've heard the switch from 1.5 to 1.6 rockers is good for about 10-15 hp.

If you look on Harlan Sharps web site, you'll see they make rockers for the center bolt valve covers, so they should work, but they are not self aligning, so you'll need the GMPP guide plates. Info on the guide plates in this thread.

A self aligning rocker aligns on the tip of the valve with two discs on the valve end of the rocker. Non self aligning need guide plates for the pushrods to keep the rocker on the valve.

I used those damn rockers and couldn't shut them the hell up. Got some ProMagnums and valvetrain noise was non-existent. Also had problems because they would not clear my valve springs (springs were a little bigger )

How loud was the RR noise? what kind of noise do they make, and is it really unbearable?

It was unbearable, but I am sure there are others that have had sucess with those rockers.
You can get a set of Scorpion's for under 200 bucks. Those are some nice peices too.
