y-pipe question

ok im getting headers soon (probably flowtechs coated headers b/c of price) and im unsure of what to do concerning the y-pipe. i have a borla exhaust. should i get the offroad y-pipe by flowtech, or should i go another route (such as a catted y-pipe)? what would sound and perform best, b/c im am kinda confused as to what to do exactly with my exhaust set up?

Re: y-pipe question

With long tube headers, any long tube headers you need to get the matching y-pipe or have a muffler shop custom fab one for you. From the y-pipe back any cat back should work.

Re: y-pipe question

well, an off road pipe will out flow a catted Ypipe.

do you need emmissions (or expect it in the future?)

my flowtech Ypipe fit GREAT. it bolted up and matched up perfectly. i didn't have any problems with frame clearance because i had urathan motor mounts installed and the motor barely moves under load. i would highly suggest changing the mount while the manifolds are off...MUCH EASIER!

no cats and the open borla (or even closed) will be LOUD...and probably a bit raspy in t he upper rpms.
