Which Y-pipe to get???
Im going with the Hooker long tube headers and I was wondering what Y-pipe to get? I dont want cats so it can be an off road pipe or whatever. Also some one who has done this before please tell me eveyrthing I need to buy for this whole header install.
Well where can I get true duals? But I do kind of want the Y pipe because I want to get an electric cutout and it would be a little expensive to get 2 of them, unless true duals would be better performance than a electric cutout? Im open to suggestions on this subject.
well true duals will probably be loud all the time, like having a cutout open. but if you got a y-pipe and a quietter cat-back (magnaflow), and a cut out you could get the best of both worlds. quietter when you want it to be and louder if you want loud. that is just what i think though. i have never heard true duals, i am just assuming it is loud if you use bullet style mufflers/resonator.
true duals and an x-pipe makes the most hp.
you could probably get a local exhaust shop to make you a y-pipe for it, or just buy the hooker off road y.
when i do mine next year i want to do an x-pipe and true dual setup.
check speed inc. ( www.ls1speed.com ) i know they make a xpipe and true dual setup you can order. i don't know of any site sponsor though, maybe someone else can suggest one...
