well thats comforting. I always thought waterpumps were kind of noisy when they went bad. So should I add more through the dipstick tube, until it at least reads a full cold level?

BadAndy743, Isn't car still under warranty? I would just take it in and have them diagnose it.

Just fill the reservoir up to the appropriate line. I would just use water out of the hose (make sure there's no dirt on the end of the hose) since you may be dumping it soon for a new Tstat or pump. And it's not really a dipstick tube. That 'dipstick' is more of a cap with a dangle since it's hard to read the side of the reservoir. But yeah, that hole.

After you confirm that the coolant system is actually filled (no trapped air), and it keeps bubbling into the coolant tank.... You more than likely have a blown head gasket.

Okay well I filled it to the full cold mark. It ran the same. To me it appears to run at the exact same temp it did b4 I swapped the thermostat for the 172. I don't know about any bubbling. I would think that it would release air instead of coolant in that case. I did blled all the air out when I refilled the radiator after the tstat swap.

Guess what else... Your temp guage is wrong too. They will read 210 when the temperature can be anywhere from less than 200 to over 220 or so. I've confirmed this with my Predator. I'm not sure about the range that actually reads 210, but with an autotap, tech2, predator... you can get the exact coolant temperature reading. The temp can go way up or down and the stupid guage never moves from 210. So don't assume the guage is accurate.
