Wrecked Z

I recently wrecked my 98 z and I tried to get it started the other day and it won't start. The fuel pump won't run it's like it won'ts to start so I took a spray bottle and gave it a shot of gas and still a no go!! Is there a safty switch or anything to keep it from starting?

how bad did you wreck the car? its possible you messed something else up which would be stopping the pump from operating

There is no fuel pump kill switch or anything like that.

The car was on the roof when it stopped. The fuel pump was still running until we turned the switch off. When you try to crank the car it turns over good but the pump doesn't run and we tried spraying gas in it but it's like something has the fuel and the fire shut down.

Did you just flip it over and try to start it? You're not supposed to ever do that, incase you did. Oil would basically cover everything, at that point. Sparkplugs are probably fouled, really.

Pump could have gotten burned out if it was continually running and wasn't submerged in the gas anymore...

If it won't start with fuel sprayed inside, then the pump is not your only problem.
