As long as you don't put SS badges on it.

Leave the Z/28 (don't forget the /!) emblems on. I think the Z/28 sounds better (as a name) than SS. Puts on flame suit.

Perhaps we should start calling them WU8? Sounds just as goofy as WS6 (might as well get everyone involved!)

Put the SS badges on if you like the way they look, There will hardly be any difference between your car and a real SS, infact I would prefer you did put them on, you would be more of a poser if you didn't because if you put the badges on everybody will see the car and assume it's a real SS and say, yeah that's cool, but if they see z28 badges and then SS body parts, there going to know what's going on.

You can do what you want, but I would not put the ss badges on it.

I have upgraded to the ss hood and rear spoiler and I DO NOT BELIEVE I AM BEING A POSER because I left the Z28 badges on. In fact i get more thumbs up because be people see I'm upgrading my appearance mods yet being true to not misslabeling what it really isn't. I love my Z28 and would never consider changing badges regardless of my upgrades. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with "ss's" just lettting ya know my situation.

...why is it an SS anyway...because SLP put on worthless mods and charged an arm and a leg. The SS's are nice but not much different from the Z. Now if it was a V-6 and you put SS decals on it..that's a different story. Put the SS badges on...I would...just don't tell anyone and don't sell it as an SS. But define "poser"....I think I'm a poser....because I have one of the sickest LS1's in the Northwest...but NOT a wanna-be

After alot of thought about the same question I had a while back, I decided I would rather put the SS emblems and take the Z28 ones off because it seems more like a poser if you make the car look exactly as an SS with the Z28 badges on. That way people wont look at your car and say "haha, he made his Z28 look like an SS." That way if you have the SS emblems, people won't know that its a z28 and wouldn't make fun of you because they think it really is a SS.

Who cares if other people think it looks poser. People rebuild 1st and 2nd gen Camaros into Z28, SS, and RS all the time and call it a clone. Its acceptable just so they don't try to pass it off as an original. Or like I've seen on a 2nd gen and say it has SS mods when it really only has RS bumperettes w/ SS badging. Like others have said, your car, your money, do what you want. I think the wheels you mentioned will set it off even more. I think it'll look great.

As for looking rice, not unless it is slammed, w/ a huge aluminum wing, bright colors, some import stickers, and 17 or 18" wheels over small disk front and rear drum breaks. Oh, and you can't forget to do a big fart pipe on one side, and have racing seats that have holes for a 5 point harness but w/out the harness. Even then you'd need a 6cyl or less to pull this off well.

In fact thats the opposite of what I have seen going on. No body has hated on me or given me a negative opinion for not putting ss badges on it.

IMO, if you put on ss badges and tell everyone it is an ss then it is posing.

if you people think they charged an arm and a leg for the an ss and then you go and buy the hood and spoiler and stuff to make it look like an ss, you probably could have gotten a real ss for cheaper. that is pretty much why i bought an ss, i like the looks of the spoiler and hood better than a Z, and i didn't want to go through the hassle of spending more to buy them at a later date and then having to worry abuot getting them painted and matched the exact same color.

Either way, I say its fine. SS=Z28. Z28=SS. Same car, different hood and spoiler. I was going to go SS hood and SS spoiler (1" higher flip), but I'm only going to do the spoiler. I just don't want to spend the money on the hood when my stock one is fine. I'd never make it functional anyway. Plenty of guys use the hood and spoiler on their Z or even V6. In the end its still a Camaro, YOUR Camaro.
