Would this be posing???

I have a z28 and want it to look a little more sporty. So I was thinking of getting an SS hood and spoiler and eventually some 17 or 18 torque thrust two's. If I leave the z28 badges on, does it still seem like I am posing as an SS??

Not if you leave the Z28 badges on. I used to own a Z28 before I got the SS and I was proud that I had a Z28. The Z28 has its own heritage that comes with that name.

Agreed, it's fine as long as you leave the Z28 badges on.

All of the recent SS Camaros are technically Z28s. So, I don't see what the big deal is about changing the badges. Mine came from the factory as an SS. But if I had done the mods myself, I would have left the badges alone. If you're not going for an SS clone, did you consider this hood??? CLICK HERE
I think it's tight...functional too.

if you have to ask, either way, you lost.. Its your car, do whatever you want..

Just as long as if you ever sell the car, you clearly explain to others that its a conversion..

anyways, the SS package, besides some suspension differences, is basically just an apperance package anyways.

The spoiler and hood are just appearance mods. If you like them then sport them. But dont do badges. That would be posing. Sport the Z28 badges......that name is synonymous for sport/muscle car.

this part edited out.....

oh yea and to answer your question, no i don't think it would be posing. i personally like the hood and spoiler better than the stock ones and probably would have changed it if i had bought a Z as well. go for it man

but changing/adding badges is gay and you might as well be driving a HONDA.

well in my opinion it's not at all posing. i mean every single fourth gen ss left gm as a z28 and was then sent down the road to slp where they did the exhaust, suspension, and appearance mods. i am astonished at the fact that people consider your car rice if you do the exact same thing as slp in the comfort of your own garage. i by all means could see how someone would consider a v6 camaro rice if they did the hood, spoiler, and badges and left the 3800 in it. regardless of whether you have an authentic ss or a home made ss your title still says the same thing, camaro z28.

I know this is a little off topic but theres a kid at my school that has a saleen sticker and license plate frame along with a V6 sport sticker, I asked him at a stop light if it was a V8 or V6. I should of known it was a 6.

As for the original topic. Thats cool that you want to make your car more sporty looking. I am prepared for flames on this next comment: you should also add altezzas. I have gotten lots of compliments on them becuase they make the car look clean.
