A local kid has a 00' Z28...i b.s.'d with him a lil bit....he doesn't seem to know too much about cars but claims his camaro makes 505RWHP....he's a rich kid, and said his dad gave him the stock Heads, Cam, Intake mani, and Fuel Injectors, off his Z06, and that its been stroked and bored to a 383...other than that, i think the only mods he has is MSD ignition, and a set of headers....now i'm an LT1 guy, and figured i'd ask you LS1 guys if that kinda of HP claim would be realistic...he didn't say what kind of compression it is, blah, blah, anything technical he didn't seem to know....just curious.....thanks,

 

Not with the stock heads or z06 cam. He would have to use a pretty big cam even on a 383 to push 500+ rwhp.

 

Sounds pretty hard to believe. I'd ask him to pop the hood. Then just look for the LS6 intake manifold.

LS6 intake manifolds have no EGR. The second picture from the top, look for the hose that the red arrow is pointing to. It is right behind the throttle body. If that hose is there, the kid is a liar.

badass....i'll have my buddy get ahold of that kid again, and i'll have him pop his hood a.s.a.p....if i see that EGR hose, i just may have to slap him..........thanks for the replies
