thats not a small shot, a small is around 50-75 for a stock motor, but people have gotten away with 150 without problems.. make sure you have proper safety like window switches before doing anyhting like it though.

There is a nitrous section, ask those guys

The LS1 can handle a 150 shot stock I believe. East Side Performance in CT built a 383 (I believe) w/ a dual stage 300horse sniffer. And Saftey equip is #1! Window switches, Fuel saftey switches, a Quality Kit for 1, and some other NHRA legal stuff.

And yeah, THe nitrous section would be ablt to further answer this Q.

as long as you use the safety equipment the other guys mentioned, i have heard (and seen) people push 200 shot and get away with it. not recommended tho

No problem as long as you have enough fuel. You can always use a slighly bigger fuel jet and/or run a little race gas in the mix.

Re: will a stock ls1 hold it

I knew a guy that ran 200-225HP worth of nitrous through his basically stock 1998 Z28. He suprised a lot of fast cars with that set-up and ran it like that for years. I'm not saying that will work for everybody, but should give you an idea of what kind of abuse LSxs can take. I personally ran a 100shot with bolt-ons for two years with no problem. Make sure you have a good fuel system, copper plugs, good gas and maybe a window switch and you'll be fine.
