will my gears\posi fit in a 98 camaro.

okay. i have a 67 camaro ss and im thinking about getting rid of it. because it only sees the streets 3 days a week. now im only 17 years old so this is kind of a kick in the ***. so im thinking of selling and buyin a 98 z28. then modding it up to run low 13's

now i just bought a set of 3.73's and a eaton posi for my camaro. its a 10 bolt 8.2 rearend. would i be able to throw it in a new camaro? there not even a month old. so i wanna swap out my good **** and put in some crap gears when i sell.

and if i could get a posi and gears in a new camaro thatd be a big help. and also would it hold the power?

i plan to do. lid, chip, long tubes, loudmouth and a lumpy cam.
how much power u guys think id be making? and what would my mpg look like with a 6 spd?

First off any LS1 Camaro is capable of mid to low 13s stock in good weather at a low altitude track.
Second all 4th gen Camaros have a puny little 7.5" ring gear. Your 8.2s won't fit.
Third there's no "chip" for them. You'll need a flash programmer.
Fourth with the mods you list you'd be somewhere around 340 to 390 rwhp depending upon the parts choices. There's a lot of different headers and cams available

wow i thought they were bigger than that.
k well. would the stock rearend be able to handle that much power? or would i have to do something with it?

and would it be ise to get gears and a posi while im doing everything. my funds are limited to about 4 grand tho.

how much would all this cost?
the programmer.
good headers
loudmouth
80mm throttle body
and a functional ss hood with ram air.
and a hot cam, that wont hurt the engine but give me a nice sound and power increase.

if i get loudmouth do i still have to leave the stock catalytic converter in?

I'd buy a 98' SS so you don't have to go through the trouble of getting a new hood.
