Car for car it will swap. Year for year, no. I think in 2000 they went to a bolt-up setup unlike on the 99's where the only disconnect on the passenger side of the y-pipe was at the exhaust manifold flange. If you look at the exhaust parts on the SLP website, you can see they separate 98-99 from 00-02.

You sir are correct. If you want to put 00-02 exhaust Y-pipe on a 98-99 you need the cast iron manifolds too.

i have the cats and the pipe, the cats are bolted up to the pipe ready for install.. will it not bolt up to the manifolds? im going to try to see what happens any ways. i just dont understand the big diffrence between this one having bolt on cats and the other being welded on?

I believe one design used cast iron manifolds. The other used a tubular manifold design. I'm almost positive it won't work. But it's your car/ Your money and time. Go for it, and let us know if it works.

The passenger side cat was relocated in 2000 or 2001, and the Y-pipes are not interchangeable without ramoving the cat on a 98-99 car.

98-99s used tubular exhaust manifolds
00-02s use CAST IRON manifolds
The y-pipes will NOT interchange, it has nothing to do with welded cats or not.
