Unhappy Why don't I have a rear defogger?

I have an '02 Z28, fully loaded, but I don't have a rear defogger. Was that a single option, or included in the "preffered" package (which I DO have). Just curious. I have seen several cars with the defoggers, but wonder why I dont?

It was an extra cost option. On mine it cost $170. Mines a 2000 Z28.

For 02,
the "ELECTRIC REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER" was an option outside the "PREFERRED EQUIPMENT GROUP" and the "SS PERFORMANCE/APPEARANCE PKG". The price remained at $170 like rwb said.

Yup. NY does, and I lived there when I bought it. I didn't want it, but it hid the lines of the tint perfect. Looks like one piece, but did not have to be stretched like 1 piece jobs.

hahahaha I've never heard of a car without a rear defogger. Here in Canada, every single car has one, mostly because no canadian would buy a car without one. I guess on the Camaro it doesn't really matter because when it's cold & snowy I store my car. Mine does have the defogger, but for some reason it doesnt work. It's a 2001 SS, and the defogger stopped working about a month ago. I was driving home from the speedway, and poof, just stopped working. I have yet to make my way down to the dealership to complain.

Yeah its an option included in the prefered option package. However you cant trust the build list, my list claims all sorts of options that i dont have. It depends on when your car was made in the year. mine is 95 made on may 5th 1995 which is relativly late in the production run. They tend to slack on the options a little.

Yep it was an option. This is what my '98 looked like w/o the defroster:

I don't have a rear defroster either. Kind of like not having one and sometimes wished I did.
