I dont know why it is doing this. At first I thought it was cause my shifter was messed up, but that problem was resolved. The car will make a grinding noise occasionally, going onto 3rd or 5th after you have it in gear. It pretty much spits it out at you. Its very annoying and Ive even had people in the car when it happens tell me its definantly not driver error (missing the gear). I dont remember seeing this posted before so any thoughts would be appreciated.

My reverse gear does that, they told me the syncros are spinning too fast, they are full if crap because i know there is a problem with my car, the shop guy even reproduced it in the shop and said if they don't find a problem then they have to charge me the money to take apart and put my trans back together. I just cram it into reverse untill I feel it shift into it. Sometimes i feel like I am ripping the shifter right out. Incase you arn't try doing a sequence of shifts from 1st through 3rd. When I'm in my gas saving state i usually put from first to third then 5th. skipping 2nd and 4th. if you do that shift consecutivly...
