whoops! broke a wire....

When i was changing my front O2 sensors, i accidentally <sp?> snapped a wire that was connected to a plug that snapped on the passenger side of the lower engine block. I crudely electrical taped it, but there was so little wire exposed from the plug that it only worked for a couple of days. My low oil light just came on , and it has plenty of oil in it, so im 99% sure thats what I broke. I have a good idea of how to fix it, but my question is, with the low oil light on, does it affect how the computer runs my car? I don't want to hurt her!

Re: whoops! broke a wire....

shouldn't make any difference in the running condition of the car.

like the coolant level light, rear o2s and several other things...they are just dummy lights.
