Just so I'm understanding, off road headers don't have cats, but they come with a piping that blots on to where the cats are supposed tp be right? will this affect how load the car will be or what does it contribut too?

I believe its a lot louder. Then again, I have open headers and a cutout

Yes you are correct. An off-road y-pipe is without cats. Headers are headers regardless.

Real Dual Exhaust

Have any of you thought about doing away with that power and torque robbing "Y" pipe exhaust system and installing a real dual exhaust system on your car? You get a lot more performance. I have a cat back real dual exhaust on my SS with both pipes exiting out the rear of the car from beneath the bumper just like the regular stock pipes and it is quiet inside the car with no drone. Those that exit out under the car before the axle doesn't come close to my exhaust system. I can ride down the road and talk to my friend in the seat beside me or listen to the radio, because as I stated earlier, it is quiet inside my car. Now, outside is another story. I have a sound that no "Y" pipe exhaust system can touch. The sound that only a real dual exhaust system can deliver. I will never, NEVER use a "Y" pipes exhaust system on anything ever again. I'll go with a real dual exhaust system every time.

Well I have Hooker LTs with a cut out and Flowmaster. And it sounded awesome with the cutout open but I got pulled over for being to loud twice in the last week. So the cut out got closed but its still really loud if I lean on it.
