Who has replaced A/C Compressor?

Who has replaced A/C Compressor?
Well, my A/C compressor is toast at 90k. Who has replaced theirs and where is the best place to buy a replacement. Autozone sells them for 250.00, but my experience with autozone alternators tells me that sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't.
