who has rebuilt their engine theirself?

i was just curious who has built their engine theirself? how tricky is the bottom end to do?

Well, it's not exactly "tricky" but unless you have all the proper tools, I doubt you'll have much luck. I've done it. It just takes time and patience, and someone to guide you along the way. Goodluck.

I agree with Crazy95Z, its not that its neccesarily tricky but you need to have the proper tools. Dial Bore Gauges, Micrometers, Feeler Gauges, Deck Bridge w/ Dial Indicator, Dial Indicator w/magnetic base.

Those are just a few instruments you will need just to measure all of bearings and tolerances to make sure that everything is right where it should be.

If this is your first build and you don't plan to do many of them, it is advised to hire a professional for the job. If nothing else you are buying piece of mind that the job was done properly.
