If you really want, just get a fuel filter at WalMart that fits in your PCV line, and stick it in there. When it gets dirty, change it out.
Actually sucking oil into the intake is a very common problem on these cars. Particularly if you've stepped up to H/C or even extensive bolt ons.

The Greddy catch can is one of the common fixes, as well as the LS6 valley cover, the 5.3 truck PCV valve, the fuel filter or an air compressor filter ...

This why I post, before I proceed with a mod.
Thanks.

Thanks.
But they could be wrong. Many have problems with the PCV system sucking oil from the motor and injesting it. Especially when you really start spinning them up. When I put my heads/cam on this winter I'm doing the LS6 valley pan.

I may do the fuel filter or 5.3 truck pcv....well at least look into it. What is this ls6 valley pan?

Replace your stock LS1 valley cover with the LS6 valley cover. It runs the PCV right off the valley cover instead of the valve cover. It also has a filter built in to catch the oil ... If you haven't installed a LS6 intake yet, do it at the same time, since you have to take the intake off anyway. You will also have to chisel away a casting artifact in the valley on the LS1 block to get it to fit.

The air compressor filter is probably the most effect least expensive method ... about $20 in parts .. sort of combines the fuel filter and the catch can ...

Air compressor filter? Where can I get one? And does anyone have a write up or is it easy once I get the part?
