where to tune???
Re: where to tune???
LS1 Speed Inc isn't too far from u i don't think. It's in schaumburg and they've got a good reputation with LS1's, here's the site www.ls1speed.com
If i were u though i would wait on the tune if u have more plans for it that would need a tune or would benefit from it. Up to u though.

Re: where to tune???
thanx yeah thats really close and now that i think about it I have heard of them before.... along with the headers i have a ls6 intake that i just put on, ssra, and loudmouth exhaust so i figure might as well
Re: where to tune???
I just realized this but they do have a basic tune which is what u would want but www.pcmforless.com and www.madz28.com would probably be better. I was lookin at the other thread about tuning after headers and somebody mentioned those two which i already knew about but i wasn't thinkin straight and saw u had just some basics and wanted a tune now that u got headers. I would probably call speedinc and see how its done, they might be able to give u a better tune if they have ur car there to work with instead of workin off something u send them like u would do with the other two places.
Re: where to tune???
Another vote for Ls1Speed Inc. They did the cam and intake install for me and did a dyno tune see results below. My 2 cents its always better for you to have the car dyno tuned instead of sending in your computer. Sending in your computer they can get the tune in the ballpark, but since every car is a little different you can get a little better tune if they have the car. Also if you plan on putting in a cam or other mods you may want to wait to tune your car. Tho if its going to be awhile you well see gains from allowing them to dyno tune the car with just having headers installed.
