Wheels fitting please help
Im looking to buy some new rims and tires real real soon only thing holding me back is I dont know what will fit under there.
I want to buy either zr1's or z06's probably z06's, What exactly is the best combination for these and what will fit, the car is not lowered but it might be in the future. I dont want to do any modifications now or later. I want 17's, so should I go with 17x11 in back and 17x9.5 in front or both 17x9.5, or should I go with 18's in back? And will any of these combos need spacers or computer programing (I hope not). Please tell me what the best thing I should do is that would be a direct bolt on without me needing to do anything else. Thank you

First off get the ZR1s or c5 wheels. Z06 wheels look like a$$ and if I got a Z06 I would slap on the c5 wheels on it ASAP. But thats my opinion. Also get the 17 by 11s in back and 17 by 9.5 in front. Dont put anything wider than 275s in front though. 315s work well with the 17*11s. Stick to 17s. 18s become very heavy and will slow u down a little, theyre not worth the extra cost plus tires get really costly on 18s. As far as computer mods, you will need to adjust your speedo or it will be off a little and you wont know how fast your goin. Otherwise they should fit. Most people fit 17*11s no problem, but there are exceptions where you may need to do some hammering.
Personally, I would stick with 17x9 or the 17x9.5. The 17x11 are heavier and offer more rotating mass. Keep in mind, you will not notice a big performance difference. If you're more about the looks, go with the 17x11 if that makes you happy.
You will need spacers...they are around $25.
If you stay with stock tire sizes, recalibrating the speedometer is not necessary. 275/40-17 and 245/50-16 are virtually the same. Click here and enter the different sizes if you want to check it out.
