wheel alignment specs for the 00 LS1 camaro
this weekend iam going to get a wheel alignment for my 00 camaro, does anyone know what the 00 camaro z28 alignment specs should be for good handling? my car seems to pull to the right a little bit.
standard "internet" alignment is
max neg camber (about -1 deg, you'll probably only be able to get about -0.5 stock height unless your guy is good, alot of shops won't know how to adjust it though) This helps keeps your tire flat when your body rolls in a turn, making your tires gain pos camber.
then crank up the caster (+4.5 and aboce is good)
toe.. is kinda up to you.. I keep it at 0 toe.. some like it a little out to make it turn in a little better, but it makes the car a little more darty.
There's not much that can be done in the back.. They might as well hook up the sensors to the backwheels to see if the rear is in place, since that takes all of 1 minute. But there's nothing they can really change in the back..
There's no reason why they can't get both sides to match up reasonable close too.. Ask for computer printouts of before and after.
note: the shop may have its own recommended tweaks due to crowning of sloping of local roads.. your call.
