Whats wrong with my car? Just got back from the track.
I made 3 runs, all had 2.1xx 60ft times except for the last one which was 2.3xx. I ran a 14.3, 14.2, and a 14.8 for the last one and never got over 97mph. Maybe I don't know how to race an automatic correctly. Help me out please!! My dad owned the car for the first 13K miles and babied it completely..hardly ever got on her...is this a cause....any way that I can undo his doing? Thanks guys

What was the temp and the humidity, your mph?? Did you take out the driver side floor mat??
You weren't anually shifting it were you?? An auto, just put it in 3rd and let it rip.

Temp. and humidity were both in the high 90's.....why take out the floor mat....and I wasn't shifting it no. Any more ideas...did I run normally for the conditions?

-Lower the PSI to 24.
-Do a short burnout, only to clean the tires off.No smoke!
-Once you stage, hold the brake and bring the RPM's up to about 1500-1700.Then on the second yellow, let off the brake and floor the gas.
Now if you are still spinning then you may need to feather the throttle a little to keep from spinning so much.Good luck.

Hey, don't worry too much about it. I also went to the track on Saturday. I had a previous best of 12.98 at 108.4 and on saturday I could only pull off a 13.4 I was very dissapointed but I do believe it was the hot humid temps. There was a TA there that could only muster a 13.3 when he had pulled off a 12.8 before. I definetly think it was the conditions. On a normal day I think your could should be able to pull off mid 13s at around 103 to 104 mph.
