Whats wrong? HELP

Today I did alot of hard driving. Well on the highway above ~ 55 mph whenever I floored it it would start accelerating normally between 1000-3500 rpm. Then around 3500 rpm it would fly to the redline ceasing acceleration and it would redline. When I got out of the car there was smoke coming from under the hood. When I opened it I noticed my IAT sensor got unplugged. Did the car overheat or is there somethin with my tranny.

It was at 210, normally it runs a little below 210.

BTW I forgot to mention, that under 45 mph it wont shift gears till I let go of the gas under any type of driving conditions. I really hope I dont need a new trans.

Sounds like the trans to me. Go to www.hpaparts.com , they along with other places have pretty good prices on heavy duty built trannys. Good luck.

I'd go check your trans fluid, let the car idle and see if any smoke comes out of the trans dipstick tube once you open it. The problem sounds like it defiently lies in the trans.
