I believe ya, but pulleys dont actually add hp which im sure you know. I know a few Ls1 guys w/ asp pulleys and all they free'd up was a few hp....as far as getting into the powerband quicker they did like them though

PROOF--Underdrive pulleys free up horse power....
GMHTP July 2003 Vol 9 No. 4 "Project Blue Thunder, 13's or Bust" JET underdrive alt and crank pulley install on an 89 Formula Firebird. 305 TPI. Dyno'd at the SLP plant..
Written by Steve Baur

After a break for lunch, we fired Blue Thunder up again and got it up to temprature. The majority of the personell on hand were not expecting much, myself included, but JET said the pulleys were worth 10-30 horsepower depending on application. When the first pull was finished, the SuperFlow showed 236.9 hp and 303.8 lb.-ft. of torque. Yes that's at the rear wheels and yes that's a gain of about 17 hp and 13 lb.-ft. of torque. as we were all quite imperessed with this gain, we subjected BT to three more dyno pulls to back those numbers up, and every run looked nearly identical.
I took an excerpt from an article in GMHTP.....There were dyno sheets in the article but my scanner is down..
