Whats the difference in..

the gauges for the 97-98 Z28 and the 99-00 models? I was looking at white gauge sets and noticed they have a different model number for each one, wondered if anyone would shed some light on the differences.

Well, I don't understand why I always see them lumping the '97s in with the '98s. The '97s have a mechanical odometer while the '98s have a digital odometer. That makes a difference. My roommate has a '97 Z28 and he told me he ordered a set of indiglo guages and the place he ordered them from told him that there was no difference between the '97 and the '98. Well, we had the prime examples side by side, my '98 SS and his '97 Z and the guages were not the same. Needless to say, he cancelled the order.

I guess I had better tell my roommate that somebody stole his guages and replaced them then.
