'02 is best.. LAST YEAR!

ok.. now I have heard the "higher lift cam" arguement tons of times... Now aside from that, what benefit did it have because of the higher lift? There is more to a cam than the lift, hence the rest of the numbers..

When I look at my dyno sheets I see power everywhere.. when I am on the track I feel power everywhere.. So, I dont see where this other cam would benefit me if I am going to be hurt more on the low end as I have seen...

Now any car has potential.. but I always think of stock as in factory bone stock..

I ran a 13.17@108 in my car.. I have replacement street tires and the 2.1 short times show that the tires were not where my car made that time.. With a good launch, I should have 12.9's easy!

Get what you like! its what matters!

I think it was just my "bigger is better" assumption!

Lift for '98 - '00 is ~.499" I believe, and ~.478" for '01/'02. Those numbers aren't exact, but I figured that higher lift would mean more air-flow, especially if BOTH cams were used in conjunction with the LS6 intake?

Lift is one thing.. Duration is another.. And yet another aspect is how fast it reaches full lift.. Ideally you would want it to get as open as possible and hold for as long as possible.. hehe Now reality has its say, so you want it to open as quickly as possible which would allow the valves to get their most benefit.. At least thats how I was taught by some people that run 10's and are now building a 6L Turbo LS1..
