Remove 10mm bolt where EGR tube goes into the intake. Pay extra attention not to let the EGR O-Ring fall into the intake manifold when you pull the EGR tube out of the whole.
Bend the tube up & out of the intake, don't worry about kinking the tube, its mild stainless steel & can be bent a lot, it may kink a little but this will not hurt anything. At worst case it may slightly restrict EGR gas flow, but will not set any codes. Don't worry, the slight kink will not show as the 'black wrap' will not show what is slightly kinked inside.
Place a rag over the intake hole.
With a hacksaw take off appox: 1 1/4" off the tube, Cut where the size of the tube changes, This ridge is also perfect for the hacksaw when cutting as it will stablize the hacksaw when starting the cut. You will see what I mean... As your sawing with your right hand you at using your left hand to hold & bend the pipe asm & it will flex back & forth, don't worry, the pipe can take it.. Your cut may not be perfect, but you will do a good job.
A Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel makes the job much easier!
I was a little conservative with the cut.
Clean the cut with a file or the Dremel tool.
Wipe out any remaining metal particles and reinstall the modified EGR.
