what valve spring compressor to use?
Re: what valve spring compressor to use?
Planning on doing this myself in the next couple of weeks. The spring tool I will be borrowing from a friend is the one capable of doing two at once (intake and exhaust). I'm thinking a simple compression tester kit can be rented from an Autozone-type place, which would include the air compressor fitting I believe. From what I remember, 60-80psi of pressure is what you want to use. Hopefully, this is a straight forward swap. I'm planning on it being a 5~6 hour job.

I think that the only ones that'll work under the cowl are the bolton and screw it down style. On the outer valves a standard lever type is much much faster. And it is best to use compressed air to hold the valves up.
