What is the TRANS/LOCK

What is the TRANS/LOCK switch in the engine compartment. The little red switch that just sticks up in the midde of everything. What is it for? How does work? Just curious Thanks Cory

LMFAO, but no offence intended pal...cz28s its the damn tranny dipstick. You know to check the fluid level,I'm guessing you havent done that recently. It kinda looks like a switch??,the tab flips up to unclamp the stick from tube or another way of saying pull up on the lock side to unlock the dip stick.

As gay as it may be, it does explain what everything on the car is. However, I never really refer to it that often either...............actually, I blatantly, outright ignored the "recommended" break-in of my car. They "recommend" driving no more than 55 MPH (~88 km/h) for the first ~500 miles, or ~800 kilometers. Well, on my second day with the car, I was doing ~100 MPH (~160 km/h) pulling on the highway, and that was with only about ~90 miles (~150 kms) on the odometer! I don't think it hurt anything, since I've now got almost 15,000 miles (~23,000+ kms) on the odometer, and that's within about 8 months!

OK, you're right..............to hell with the book!!!
