WHAT SHOULD THE TIRE PSI BE FOR STREET TIRES, RUNNIN AT THE TRACK??? OR STREET RACES?
WHAT IS THE CORRECT TIRE PSI TO RUN ON THE FRONT AND THE REAR TIRES FOR TRACK PURPOSES (STREET TIRES). WHAT IS ALSO THE TIRE PSI FOR STREET RACING, KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE BOTH FOR STREET TIRES. THANX REPLY SOON.

If i were to condone street racing i'd say to use about 25-28lbs depending on the tire, alot of the time with a street tire you actually lose some contact area if you go too much lower in pressure. As for the track, i'd say about the same.

I agree. For the rear tires, if they are hard radials (ie Goodyears), you don't want to go below 26-27 psi as it will sriously damage the sidewalls (they are not designed to flex like the softer sidewalls of some DRs and slicks, so loww tire PSI isn't really an advantage). Up front, I keep the tires at 35-37 psi.
The fronts should be as high as you can go (max pressure) to reduce rolling resistance. The rears should have the regular inflation pressure 35-40 psi. A street radial will suck-in in the center of the tire as the pressure goes down thus you lose contact area (contact patch). The sidewalls don't flex on regular street radials, for all intents and purposes, so reducing the pressure only hurts your grip.
