What is the price of a new clutch setup?

I need to know what the aproximate price of an aftermarket clutch setup will be. I think i will go with the aftermarket setup because i think GM prices will be very high (correct me if im wrong on that one) I was thinking of the Z06 clutch, but I think i want a slightly stronger on than that, with a near stock friction point feel. Can you guys give me a link or something to some popular aftermarket brands, some i can think of right now would be like MacLeod. i would probably be replacing the Pilot bearing, the throw-out bearing, the disc, and pressure plate.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I would suggest the Star Spec Stage 3 clutch.. Check www.thunderracing.com .. I have yet to hear anything bad about them in years and have heard alot of bad problems with McLeod like chatter and streetability..

I know when mine goes out it will have a Spec installed!

You will also need to upgrade hydraulics since you have a 99 model. When my clutch goes out I am planning on going with a SPEC too. Have not decided if I am going to go all the way to stage 3 yet, but definatly leaning towards SPEC.

Oh, and remember you will need to replace or resurface your flywheel.

For a point of reference, I was quoted anywhere from $775 to $850 by local Chevy dealers to perform a new (stock) clutch install on my 99 Z28... (parts and labor)
