What to plug hole in lid with?
Creepy subject, eh?
Anyway...I put headers on my SS and reprogrammed the ECM to not need the A.I.R. pump and hoses. I removed the pump and hoses, but had to plug the hole in the lid that one of the A.I.R. hoses plugs into (this is on an SLP Blackwing lid, BTW). I made a temporary fix, but I am wondering what everyone else uses for this situation.
I would assume a little K&N filter would work, but I have no idea what the part numbee would be for one that small.
Any other thoughts or ideas?

Jason,
Are you talking about the hole in the silencer box (between the lid and the MAF)? If so, I would think that the same filter that you have to use for the air injection pump on the 01-02 cars when replacing the lid would work. Just leave a piece of the hose connected to the silencer and put the filter on the open end. I've got the P/N for the filter at home, I'll let you know tonight what it is. Of course the cheap route would be a piece of duct tape.

I just talked to someone who had a hand in the Blackwing lid development and they said that my solution was actually the one of the best ones.
No need for a little filter as it doesn't do any good.
So, I guess I will just leave it as is!
Thanks!

I used a heavy duty black rubber cork for now. It looks decent. Took some soapy water to get it in deep enough into the rubber grommet to feel secure but once the soapy water dried up, it is IN there and is not going anywhere. If I can find something that looks even better, I will use it but I am particular about things. It does just fine for now and looks fine.
